Adventure
audiobook production.

Carry the listener through every turn.

Adventure needs a voice that can communicate movement, place and stakes without sacrificing detail. We plan character choices and narrative rhythm around the book’s changing scenes and physical action.

A VOICE THAT FITS THE BOOK

The right performance changes how the words are heard.

Select an audition passage with action, description and dialogue. Look for energy that remains clear during complicated sequences.

We cast to the manuscript and the creative brief, with auditions where required. Author reads, professional narrators and multi-voice productions each need a different plan. Your producer helps turn those options into a clear decision before the full recording begins.

BUILT FOR THIS KIND OF BOOK

A considered process.
A coherent audio edition.

01

Prepare the manuscript

Provide place names, specialist vocabulary and character references. Flag maps or illustrations that the listener will not have in front of them.

02

Direct the performance

Select an audition passage with action, description and dialogue. Look for energy that remains clear during complicated sequences.

Agree a sample and carry its creative decisions through the sessions, with preparation and breaks planned around long-form performance.

03

Edit and proof with care

Check action sequences for clarity and keep character continuity through rapid scene changes. Agree any supplementary material before final delivery.

The technical finish follows the agreed delivery specification, with organised files and a clear process for approval.

We’ll plan the production.

You do not need to arrive with every production decision made. A representative sample and a clear indication of the intended release will give us a useful starting point.

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION

Adventure audio,
with the details considered.

What happens to a map in the printed book?

Decide with the publisher whether the narrative needs an approved adaptation or an accompanying resource. We do not silently add directions or descriptions to the manuscript.

Can you produce the whole audiobook?

Yes. The service can cover manuscript preparation, casting, direction, recording, editing, proofing, quality control, mastering and delivery. You can also commission a defined stage. The scope and review process are agreed in your quote.

How is the price worked out?

Send the word count, manuscript status, number of readers, title count and target delivery date. Narrator fees are quoted separately. Multi-reader, full-cast and immersive work receives a tailored quote; distribution is an optional, separately quoted service.

Can the author or publisher attend remotely?

Remote direction and monitoring are available. Agree the participants, connection arrangements and review responsibilities before recording so the team can prepare the session.

Will the audiobook meet my distributor’s requirements?

Provide the intended platform or distributor specifications when you commission the work. We agree the mastering, chapter organisation and delivery requirements for your project. Production does not by itself guarantee retailer acceptance or publication.

Where are the recording studios?

London Audiobooks is based at Academic House, 24-28 Oval Road, Camden, London NW1 7DJ, within the wider Fitzrovia Post facility. Contact the team to discuss dates, access requirements or a studio visit.
