Young Adult
audiobook production.
A voice that respects the reader and the story.
Young adult audio should feel emotionally credible rather than performed at an imagined age group. We cast around the narrative voice, perspective and themes, keeping the intended audience in the brief.
For publishers, rights owners and independent authors.
Human-led production at our Camden studios.

FROM MANUSCRIPT TO MASTERED AUDIO
The right performance changes how the words are heard.
Use a sample that reveals the protagonist’s internal voice and relationships. Judge authenticity and range rather than relying only on the narrator’s age.
We cast to the manuscript and the creative brief, with auditions where required. Author reads, professional narrators and multi-voice productions each need a different plan. Your producer helps turn those options into a clear decision before the full recording begins.

Agree a sample and carry its creative decisions through the sessions, with preparation and breaks planned around long-form performance.
Edit and proof with care
Keep emotional continuity and consistent pronunciation while preserving the author’s language. Agree any editorial changes with the rights owner before pickups.

Young Adult audio,
with the details considered.
Does a young adult book need a young narrator?
The voice needs to fit the perspective and sustain the performance. Casting considers vocal character, interpretation and the demands of the whole manuscript.
Can you produce the whole audiobook?
Yes. The service can cover manuscript preparation, casting, direction, recording, editing, proofing, quality control, mastering and delivery. You can also commission a defined stage. The scope and review process are agreed in your quote.
How is the price worked out?
Send the word count, manuscript status, number of readers, title count and target delivery date. Narrator fees are quoted separately. Multi-reader, full-cast and immersive work receives a tailored quote; distribution is an optional, separately quoted service.
Can the author or publisher attend remotely?
Remote direction and monitoring are available. Agree the participants, connection arrangements and review responsibilities before recording so the team can prepare the session.
Will the audiobook meet my distributor’s requirements?
Provide the intended platform or distributor specifications when you commission the work. We agree the mastering, chapter organisation and delivery requirements for your project. Production does not by itself guarantee retailer acceptance or publication.
