Romance
audiobook production.

Let the emotional connection lead.

A romance audiobook lives in the relationship between the voices and the story. We help plan narrative perspective, chemistry and emotional pacing so the performance carries both intimate moments and the broader arc.

A VOICE THAT FITS THE BOOK

The right performance changes how the words are heard.

Compare a single narrator with dual or multi-voice options where the manuscript supports them. Audition dialogue as well as internal narration to judge the emotional fit.

We cast to the manuscript and the creative brief, with auditions where required. Author reads, professional narrators and multi-voice productions each need a different plan. Your producer helps turn those options into a clear decision before the full recording begins.

BUILT FOR THIS KIND OF BOOK

A considered process.
A coherent audio edition.

01

Prepare the manuscript

Provide viewpoint divisions, pronunciation notes and the intended tone for intimate scenes. Agree performer boundaries and production expectations before casting is confirmed.

02

Direct the performance

Compare a single narrator with dual or multi-voice options where the manuscript supports them. Audition dialogue as well as internal narration to judge the emotional fit.

Agree a sample and carry its creative decisions through the sessions, with preparation and breaks planned around long-form performance.

03

Edit and proof with care

Maintain viewpoint and character consistency across sessions. Check scene transitions and pickups for emotional continuity as well as textual accuracy.

The technical finish follows the agreed delivery specification, with organised files and a clear process for approval.

A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION

Bring us the book.
We’ll plan the production.

You do not need to arrive with every production decision made. A representative sample and a clear indication of the intended release will give us a useful starting point.

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION

Romance audio,
with the details considered.

Should a dual-viewpoint romance use two narrators?

It can, but it is not essential. The manuscript structure, creative preference, availability and budget determine whether one narrator or multiple voices best serve the book.

Can you produce the whole audiobook?

Yes. The service can cover manuscript preparation, casting, direction, recording, editing, proofing, quality control, mastering and delivery. You can also commission a defined stage. The scope and review process are agreed in your quote.

How is the price worked out?

Send the word count, manuscript status, number of readers, title count and target delivery date. Narrator fees are quoted separately. Multi-reader, full-cast and immersive work receives a tailored quote; distribution is an optional, separately quoted service.

Can the author or publisher attend remotely?

Remote direction and monitoring are available. Agree the participants, connection arrangements and review responsibilities before recording so the team can prepare the session.

Will the audiobook meet my distributor’s requirements?

Provide the intended platform or distributor specifications when you commission the work. We agree the mastering, chapter organisation and delivery requirements for your project. Production does not by itself guarantee retailer acceptance or publication.

Where are the recording studios?

London Audiobooks is based at Academic House, 24-28 Oval Road, Camden, London NW1 7DJ, within the wider Fitzrovia Post facility. Contact the team to discuss dates, access requirements or a studio visit.
